Legoe Bay Wines

2008 Northwest Wine Summit Honors Legoe Bay Wines with Bronze and Silver Medals!

The Winery entered its Viognier and Reefnet Red in the largest juried (blind tasting) event in the Pacific Northwest, competing against 1,280 wines from over 350 wineries – and was honored with a silver medal for its Reefnet Red and a bronze medal for its Viognier, a tremendous accomplishment for its first release!

Legoe Bay Winery was established in 2005 on Lummi Island, Washington, the northernmost of the U.S. San Juan Islands. The winery occupies a converted marina on the shore of beautiful Legoe Bay. The Winery has restored a nearby century-old farmhouse for its tasting room which will open in 2009.

Winemakers Larry Smith and Karl Malling use select grapes from long-established vineyards in the Columbia Valley of Eastern Washington. Careful handling, patience and deference to the natural process are hallmarks of Legoe Bay Wines.
